Pollution Caused by Dairy Farms
As per the information received from the Central Pollution Control Board that Hon’ble NGT, Principal Bench, New Delhi issued directions vide orders dated 24.01.2020 & 20.05.2020 in the matter of O.A. No. 46/2018, Nuggehalli Jayasimha Vs Government of NCT of Delhi to Central Pollution Control Board to frame the Guidelines for Environmental Management of Dairy Farms and Gaushalas. In compliance to the directions of Hon’ble NGT, Central Pollution Control Board formulated the Guidelines and circulated to all the State Pollution Control Boards /Pollution Control Committees for implementation in their States/Union Territories on 14.07.2020. Further, the guidelines are under revision as per directives of Hon’ble NGT orders dated 8.10.2020 in light of the issues raised by petitioners counsel.
