CYDR Foundation organizing a Online Essay Competition 2020.

CYDR Foundation stand for Council for Youth Development and Research Foundation . CYDR Foundation is a Non Government Organization Registered u/s 8 Indian Companies Act 2013, Ministry of Corporate Affairs , Government of India. CYDR Foundation also Registered in NITI Aayog.

As we know,

The International Day of Non-Violence is marked on 2 October, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, leader of the Indian independence movement and pioneer of the philosophy and strategy of non-violence.

The International Day of Non-Violence has strong connections with the works, beliefs, and methods of peace leader Mahatma Gandhi, who is known as India’s “Father of the Nation”.

The purpose of this essay competition is to celebrate the life teachings, contributions and struggle of  Mahatma Gandhi to make a better nation and to encourage to , to think critically about, personally connect with and follow his path of non violence.

Topic for Essay : Gandhi was a Great supporter of Truth and Non Violence”

Who Can Participate: Students of Class 6th to 12th & Undergraduates

Awards : Every participants will get Certificate and winners will get Cash & Exciting Prizes.

Guidelines

The essay competition is meant for students of Secondary, Higher Secondary and Undergraduates Standards from schools under CBSE, ICSE, KVS, NVS, NIOS and All School boards/SCERTs at the State/UT Level.

Junior Category: 6th to 8th
Senior Category : 9th to 12th & Undergraduates

Word Limits of Essay for each category
For the Junior Category the essay should be within 500* word limits
For the Senior Category the essay should be within 1000* word limits
*The essay should not exceed word limit. This would lead to disqualification

Write-up text should be submitted in readable Font of Hindi/English.
Font size should be 14
Entries must be in either in English or Hindi

The participant should submit the write-up in doc file or pdf file format only.

Awards

Awards for both Junior and Senior Category are as follows:-

  • 1st Prize 5100 + Physical Certificate
  • 2nd Prize 2100 + Physical Certificate
  • 3rd Prize 1100 + Physical Certificate
  • Certificates of Participation to be awarded to all on registered e-mail
  • Apart from the above prizes “Best 10 submission shall win a cash prize of Rs. 1000/-“

Terms & Conditions

  • The Competition is open to all citizens of India only.
  • All essay must be submitted on www.cydrfoundation.org. Entries submitted through any other medium/mode would not be considered for evaluation.
  • A participant can send one entry only. In case it is found that any participant has submitted more than one entry, all the entries will be considered as invalid.
  • The entry should be original. Copied entries will not be considered under the contest.
  • The participant must be the same person who has written the write-up and plagiarism would not be accepted.
  • Entries with incomplete profiles would not be considered.
  • CYDR Foundation reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Competition and/ or the Terms & Conditions/Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria.
  • However, any changes to the Terms and Conditions/Technical Parameters/Evaluation Criteria, or cancellation of the Contest, will be updated /posted on the website www.cydrfoundation.org
  • It would be the responsibility of the participants to keep themselves informed of any changes in the Terms & Conditions/Technical Parameters/Evaluation Criteria stated for this Contest.
