[Watch] Solve for Tomorrow Season 2: Team Milaan Shares their Insightful Journey and Valuable Learnings from the Bootcamp at IIT Delhi

 

Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow is not just a program to nurture youngsters’ innovative ideas, but also to direct them on the path of entrepreneurship. One such team is Milaan, comprising of Delhiites Utkarsh, Rakshit Kumar, and Yash Kumar Jarwal.

 

The young minds are developing an Android-based app to solve the problem of missing children in India. The team recently spoke to us about their Solve for Tomorrow journey so far and how the mentors’ contribution has been invaluable.

Aligning with the innovation competition’s spirit, the top 10 teams underwent a bootcamp organized at IIT Delhi where they got an opportunity to gain mentorship and training from experienced professors. Emphasizing on business-related learnings during the bootcamp and their importance, the team said, “We learned how to sell our idea and turn it into an actual business solution. The sessions conducted by FITT were very informative and guided us in the right direction at every step.”

 

Implementing Learnings: From Idea to a Working Business Model


The learnings from the bootcamp and constructive feedback from their mentors helped team Milaan shape their idea into a potential business model. Sharing their excitement over the same, the team said, “We didn’t have a business strategy at first. But the sessions during the bootcamp gave us the insights and knowledge we needed. And our idea refined so much that even we couldn’t believe it.”

Currently, Solve For Tomorrow top 10 teams are preparing for the final pitch day event. The enthusiastic trio also seems to be all prepared for the finale. And what about their strategy to win? Sounding confident to win, they added, “We believe in the power of this idea, and the cause we are working for. We have the passion, we have the knowledge, we think we got this in the bag.”
