Techvestor’s Sief Khafagi Announces New Scholarship
Techvestor co-founder and CEO Sief Khafagi is pleased to announce the new Sief Khafagi Scholarship, which will award one student $2,500 to help support their academic pursuits.
SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Techvestor’s CEO and co-founder, Sief Khafagi, is excited to announce a new scholarship that is available to high school seniors. The Sief Khafagi Scholarship is available to high school seniors who have been accepted into a U.S.-accredited college or university or are current full-time students at an accredited institution.
A $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to support students attending state-sponsored colleges or universities. The scholarship aims to foster the pursuit of higher education among students who exhibit exceptional academic achievements.
Students from all fields of study are encouraged to apply for the Sief Khafagi Scholarship. All applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 to be considered.
In addition to filling out an online application, students interested in applying for the scholarship must submit a 500-word essay explaining how receiving it would benefit them and how they plan to leverage their education to create a lasting, positive impact within their community. At least one scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student applicant.
In January 2024, the scholarship team will choose a candidate with the most exceptional submission. The winner will then be notified via email and will have two weeks to accept the award. An alternate winner will be selected if the winner fails to accept in that timeframe. Once the winner accepts the award, the scholarship committee may request additional information to verify all the details the applicant provided in the application.

Sief Khafagi launched his first business while he was still earning his degree at San Diego State University. The company’s goal was to motivate computer science students to ace interviews they had at big tech companies.
Facebook reached out to Sief Khafagi after learning of his work, hiring him to work as a recruiter for its production engineering team. In that role, he helped the social media giant increase its pool of top talent more than tenfold.
After returning to the Los Angeles office of Facebook, Sief Khafagi came up with the idea for a new startup in the real estate field, focused on helping those in the short-term rental industry overcome the challenges they face.
He co-founded Techvestor in 2021 as an institutional-grade investment platform for short-term rental properties such as those on Airbnb.
