(The Center Square) – Erica J. Moore was appointed to West Virginia’s House of Delegates on Tuesday.

Moore is an administrative utility clerk with the city of Spencer and a graduate of West Virginia University. She was appointed by Gov. Jim Justice to the spot, which represents both Roane and Wirt counties.

She will replace Riley Keaton, who resigned from the post earlier this month.

Moore is a computer science graduate who has worked in county offices throughout the state and “successfully managed her family’s oil and gas business” called Daniel Moore and Son, Inc. according to a press release from Justice’s office.

Moore has lived in Roane County for 34 years and raised three boys there with her husband, Rick.
