IIT Roorkee Cognizance 2021 inaugural ceremony kicks off today
The twenty-first online edition of IIT Roorkee’s Cognizance fest inaugurated the first day virtually in the presence of the Director of IIT Roorkee, Prof. A. K. Chaturvedi. The first-day Tech fest started on Friday, 16th April 2021, and was attended by students, faculties, and faculties and more than 500 colleges globally through online webinar.
Cognizance, IIT Roorkee aims to achieve the vision to be at the frontiers of the emerging technovation, through its theme – ‘Elusive Realities’ which means “symbiotic relationship” between the fascinating fields of Simulation and Artificial Intelligence.
While addressing the inaugural ceremony attendees, Director of IIT Roorkee, Prof. A. K. Chaturvedi said, “Cognizance 2021 will break all the previous records of participation, innovation, projects, and events. Despite the worst pandemic situation and huge adversity, the academic session is going on almost uninterrupted. Our faculty and well-understanding students have given full support to make this virtual Tech fest successful in every corner of aspects.”
Exhibitions at Cognizance 2021 promises to bring contemporary technology like Codathon, an event questioning the mettle and coding skills, challenging the UI/UX skills under Design Quest, an exclusive event, Aero-Vacx which will involve designing a CAD model of a drone that will assist in transporting the vaccines in isolated areas.
