Geode Health Announces Additions To Senior Leadership Team
Executives combine passion for healthcare with wealth of experience and functional expertise.
CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Geode Health (“Geode”), a mental health services company partnering with leading psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, and therapists in the United States, today announced several new members of its leadership team. Complementing the positions already filled around operations, provider recruitment and real estate development, these new executives will oversee business development, finance, revenue cycle, market strategy, and IT & digital strategy functions. Below are the names and brief bios of the executives recently added to the Geode senior team:
Drew Dixon, Chief Financial Officer: Drew has over 15 years of Chief Financial Officer experience in private equity backed companies. Most recently, Drew was CFO of Pathway Vet Alliance, where developed an industry leading finance, accounting and administrative function as the company grew revenue 11x and EBITDA 15x during his 4 year tenure. Prior to Pathway, Drew held other CFO and senior finance positions (including being named CFO of the Year in the Large Company category in the Triad Business Journal) and began his career in auditing and consulting at PWC.
Michael Stroup, Chief Development Officer: Michael is a veteran healthcare executive with almost 30 years of experience advising and building healthcare businesses. Michael has held senior leadership roles in the growth and business development teams at Southern Veterinary Partners and United Surgical Partners, where he built teams, fostered high-performance cultures and developed strong relationships with providers. Michael began his career in healthcare provider consulting and investment banking.
Karina Akib, SVP Growth: Karina will oversee Geode’s market strategy as well as its digital solution for patients and providers. Karina brings more than a decade of experience launching, and scaling impactful digital businesses at Google, The Boston Consulting Group and most recently as co-founder of WellNested, a software platform in the maternal health space that enabled providers to focus on delivering quality care.
Lauren Garrison, VP Business Development: Lauren has over 15 years of experience in provider-facing growth roles. Most recently, Lauren was VP of Business Development & Physician Recruitment at VillageMD, a rapidly growing national leader in value-based primary care. Prior to VillageMD, Lauren held several business development, sales and recruiting roles across physician-oriented businesses. At Geode, Lauren will help lead the company’s business development and recruiting efforts.
Chris Halajian, VP Corporate Development: Chris has over 10 years of experience in finance and investing roles across multiple sectors. Most recently, Chris founded and managed a mental health business to serve rural communities. Prior to that, Chris held leadership roles in banking and investment. At Geode, Chris will help lead the corporate development function, working with providers to build partnerships and execute transactions.
Aaron Kelvington, VP Revenue Cycle: Aaron has nearly 20 years of experience in revenue cycle and provider practice solutions. Most recently, Aaron led revenue cycle and patient access functions for provider organizations in the urology and dental sectors. Prior to that, Aaron built the revenue cycle and contact center operations for MedExpress Urgent Care and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
