Forest Health Is of the Utmost Importance at Oregon’s Longview Ranch

KIMBERLY, Ore.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#longviewranchLongview Ranch, located along Central Oregon’s historic Route 19 in Kimberly, maintains 30,000 stunning acres of diverse landscape.

Each year, Oregon’s Longview Ranch continues to invest in the 9,500 acres of forest that has been entrusted to them. This Summer, Oregon’s Longview Ranch will be going through an additional 400 acres of timber in order to create the most healthy forest possible. Oregon’s Longview Ranch will leave the large healthy trees and try to space them among the other trees to increase growth rate, reduce fire danger and reduce the spread of beetles.

Although the cost to do this is significant, Oregon’s Longview Ranch is committed to responsible and sustainable land-use practices and feel it is worth it for the health of the forest.
