Common Audio/video Errors That You Have to Avoid on PC

Having a personal computer comes with a lot of perks. You can do your work whenever you want, and you can watch whatever you want. But with the watching, you would face problems. The computer works by bringing together a wide range of software and hardware. In the process, something could go wrong, and you could face issues that will get in the way of your movie night. So here are a few audio and video issues that you might come across when dealing with such files, so these issues don’t smack you in the face when they pop up. If you’re experiencing Error Code 0xc00d36c4 this post by ValidEdge is suggested.

Common Audio Errors

1. No Sound

No sound comes out when you play an audio file or an audio-video file. But the player still shows that the file is being played. Or when you play a video on some browser application like Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc., no sound is heard. Or maybe this happens during a meeting on Zoom or Microsoft teams or WebEx. Make sure to troubleshoot it when it pops up! It is one error you do not want to have on your personal computer wherever it happens.

2. Distorted or Messy Sound

Imagine this: you have everything set up perfectly. The lights are dimmed, the best snacks have been procured, the temperature is just perfect, but the moment you play your movie, the Sound that comes out might as well be a T-Rex screaming.

Distorted or messy sounds can ruin everything. You won’t hear what the characters are saying in a movie. You can’t hear your favorite YouTuber talking. You won’t be able to enjoy your favorite music. And worse, you can’t make out what your co-worker says in your weekly meetings. This is one error that you should hope never to face.

3. The Microphone Error

The Zoom meeting has gone for long enough, and it is finally your turn to shine. You have your best presentation ready, and you have given your absolute best for this project. All your work has gone down the drain. The microphone error is a prevalent one. You are unmuted to speak, but no one can hear you. It either does not work at all, rendering you unable to participate in your meetings, or it is too loud or not loud enough. Either way, it is a pesky error to deal with.

Video Errors

1. File Cannot Be Loaded

It is your weekly movie night with your best friends. Tonight, you aim to outshine every other movie night you guys have ever had.

You have everything ready:

  • The movie is downloaded.
  • The food is perfect.
  • The lights are off.
  • The couch could not be comfier.

Everybody is impressed with you. Among the praises, you go to play the movie and the line “File cannot be loaded” looks back at you. The credits die down. The “file cannot be loaded” is an error you will face if you fail to download your audio or audio-video file correctly.

2. Blurry Picture

Let us say that you have your favorite anime ready to play. But when you play it, the frames are blurry. You barely make out who is who, even though this is the tenth time you are watching this. Or perhaps you are on an important work call.

You cannot make out the expressions on your co-worker’s faces to gauge their reaction to the new project. Or you cannot see your favorite Youtube reactor’s responses to the new song that came out. Many causes can cause blurry images, so make sure to troubleshoot them depending on the app it is happening on.

3. Frames Dropping During Playback

You finally sort out the previous blurry image problem and are ready to re-watch your favorite anime again. But another problem shoots up. The frames do not transition smoothly. You realize that a few frames are being dropped in between, ruining your experience of the anime. The fight scenes aren’t as fun anymore. This error can be a little harder to troubleshoot on your own but make sure not to give up! Your anime deserves better.

4. Codec Error

The most vital part of any video file is the codec. If it gets corrupted or your video player cannot recognize it, the file will not play. You will have seen this error pop up, mainly if you use Windows Media Player. Something along the lines of “Windows Media Player cannot play this file because a required video codec is not installed on your computer.” Troubleshooting this would usually involve installing the right codec package.

We have listed a few common errors that computer users would face. This is, by no means, an exhausting list. But, we hope that you won’t be wholly ignorant about the errors you might encounter when navigating the choppy waters of the audio and the video world at the end of this article. When you come face to face with these errors, we are sure that you will fight bravely.
