The #CARLILEPAWSTORY campaign encourages individuals across the Greater Sacramento area to share their heartwarming stories of providing forever homes to animals of all shapes and sizes. By sharing these tails of incredible bonds between pet and parent, lifting the stigmas associated with rescuing animals and ultimately reducing the number of pets in shelters.

A study by NAR, Animal House: Pets in the Home Buying and Selling Process, supports his insight. Noting 66% of U.S. homes already had a pet or planned to get one—before the coronavirus outbreak. That figure is undoubtedly spiking as animal shelters report they’re running short on pets available for adoption.
Current events have impacted everyone — including homeless pets and those caring for them. In 2020, the Sacramento SPCA positively impacted the lives of more than 30,000 animals that entered their doors; by providing low-cost vaccinations, spay and neuter, life-saving medical care and adoption. As advocates for fair treatment of animals of all shapes and sizes, CARLILE chooses to support the more progressive animal sheltering models that are committed to finding homes for every adoptable animal. For this reason, CARLILE and its affiliates are spearheading a donation drive benefiting the Sacramento SPCA to raise $2,500 from June 26th – August 1st. During this time, CARLILE will also make a monetary donation for every #CARLILEPAWSTORY shared on social media. These donations go a long way for an organization that receives no state or federal funding and relies heavily on community support to keep the doors and veterinarian services open.
How can you get involved? Attend our PAW PARTY on June 26th, 10:00am to 1:00pm at 1860 Howe Ave in our parking lot. We will have food trucks, fun games and fur babies of course!
