Armory Now Available for Fast Continuous Delivery on AWS Quick Start

Allows large development teams to deliver software faster

SAN MATEO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#awsArmory, the open source continuous delivery software company, today announced Armory Enterprise on AWS Quick Starts, automated reference deployments built by Amazon Web Services (AWS) solutions architects and AWS Partners. Quick Starts help deploy popular technologies on AWS based on AWS best practices for security and high availability.

Armory Enterprise on AWS Quick Start automates building, packaging, and testing software, which can then be deployed to multiple targets including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) and AWS Lambda.

“We’re delivering a platform for AWS users that accelerates their delivery of code in complex use cases that require scale,” said Ben Mappen, senior vice president for strategic partnerships, Armory. “At the same time, we’ve made it easier than ever to get up and running with a self-guided, production-ready installation of the Armory continuous delivery platform.”

“For companies with large development teams that are managing multiple, complex workloads and applications at scale, Armory can help accelerate their continuous delivery pipeline so they can focus on providing a better experience to their end users,” said Deepak Singh, vice president of Compute Services, AWS.

”We are aligning ourselves with open source, and Armory offers the best enterprise-grade scalability and support,” stated Shrirang Moghe, senior software architect, Autodesk in a recent webinar. “We have been very thankful for AWS and Armory, which we consider best-in-class.”

Providing a centralized view into deployments, Armory Enterprise on AWS Quick Start enforces consistent guardrails, deployment best practices, and a customizable policy engine to meet compliance requirements for Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI), Service Organization Control-2 (SOC-2), Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), and others. Armory integrates with the most common DevOps tools using open application programming interfaces (APIs).

Pipelines as Code (Dinghy) allows Armory pipelines to be stored in GitHub and managed as code — including version control, templating, and modularization.

The AWS Quick Start comes with Armory Operator that helps to configure, deploy, and update Armory Enterprise on Kubernetes clusters.
