2024 International Horticulture Goyang Korea to Bloom at Ilsan Lake Park on April 26
GOYANG, South Korea–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
The event is a leading horticulture festival in Korea in which 30 countries, 50 cities, and around 200 institutes and organizations in and out of the country participate.
This year, the festival illustrates the sustainable circulation of flowers and the life of happiness within the magnificent sceneries of nature under the theme, “Flower in the Earth.” The total area of the exhibition zone will be expanded to 240,000 m2, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the lake park along with the environment-friendly garden and a wide range of outdoor exhibitions.
By reinforcing its global network with the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH), the foundation designed the event by dividing the Horticulture Exhibition Hall into the Horticulture Exchange Hall and Horticulture Industry Hall.
The horticulture exchange hall promotes national institutes, foreign horticulture distribution agencies, and other organizations related to horticulture, showcasing rare and exotic plants as well as new species in and out of Korea.
The horticulture industry hall will display individual and group works of Korean garden artists and draw participation from horticulture producers and distribution technology companies at home and abroad. Furthermore, International Horticulture Goyang Korea will jointly host a flower demonstration event by excellent garden artists, the International Goyang Flower Forum, and other events.
Lee Dong Hwan, Chairman of GIFF & Mayor of Goyang Special City, said, “The International Horticulture Goyang Korea showcases the history of the global horticulture industry, world-class flower art, environment-friendly gardening skills, and healing activities. The festival is a result of collaboration between local farmers and Goyang citizens and hopes that visitors will enjoy the beautiful lake park and the fresh garden, and blooming flowers.”
“Goyang City aims to position the Goyang International Flower Fair as a vanguard of the flower convergence industry by combining the MICE industry and Hallyu contents. We will do our best to establish ourselves as the best exhibition to lead the Korean flower industry from the front and support it from the back,” he added.
The exhibition includes the World Artist Garden, created with top-class global artists, Korea’s largest flower-themed sculpture, and next-level artwork adorned with horticulture decorations. It also features exquisite gardening art pieces, contributed by Ji Hae Hwang who brought honor to Korea in the Chelsea Flower Show, a global flower show, and other leading garden designers like Paul Hervey-Brookes (U.K.) and Leon Kluge (South Africa).
