SHISHYA: 75 Engineers from Top IITs Begin Summer Internship at Samsung Research Institute – Delhi

 

Seventy-Five young graduates from India’s top 7 IITs have begun their summer internship with Samsung’s R&D Center, SRI Delhi.

 

Walking into the corporate world, they seemed thrilled to be starting a new phase of their professional life.

 

The two-month-long summer internship program – Samsung SHISHYA (SRI-Delhi’s flagship internship program which commenced in 2017), started with a fun-filled two-day induction which involved interacting with the senior leadership at SRI- Delhi.

 

During their internship, they will get the opportunity to learn from and work closely with our R&D teams on next generation technologies to create superior products and services.

 

Leaders from across Samsung R&D will help these interns from IIT-BHU, IIT-Bombay, IIT-Delhi, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Kharagpur, IIT-Madras, IIT- Roorkee) to work on real-time projects within various verticals of the company.

 

Starting from onboarding, there are comprehensive modules designed for technical trainings, and team-specific trainings. The interns would be working in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud, Applications development and more.

 

One of the interns, Bastewad Vikas Vijay Kumar, a student of IIT Kharagpur, said he is delighted to be at SRI Delhi. He had always dreamt of an opportunity like this.

 

“The company’s culture, atmosphere and all the people here are great and helpful, they keep the motivation always high for achieving the best.

 

The company also cares for its employees and it feels like I’ve joined a nurturing family,” he said.

 

“The Samsung shishya program really justifies its title as we see an ocean of learning opportunities under incredible mentors. The warm two-day welcome sessions, loaded with fundamental information in a structured format, made us feel a part of the team along with giving us clarity of the entire system. It is an honour to work with Samsung, said another intern Divyanshi Thaakur from IIT Delhi.

 

The interns are looking forward to an exciting and fruitful two months at SRI Delhi.
