Samsung India Consolidates Tablet Business Leadership in Q1

Leadership in tablet portfolio with 40% volume market share in Q1. Strong growth of 10% against last quarter

Samsung has consolidated its leadership in the tablet business in India in the first quarter ending March, 2022. According to IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly PC Devices Tracker, 1Q22, May 2022 release, Samsung led the tablet market in India, both in volume as well as value terms, during Q1, 2022.

Samsung had 40% volume market share in the Indian Tablets Market for Q1, 2022, which is a strong growth of 10% against the last quarter (Q4, 2021), as per IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly PC Devices Tracker, 1Q22, May 2022 release. Samsung saw great momentum in the premium tablet segment priced USD 500 and above. With the recently launched flagship Galaxy Tab S8 series, Samsung has gained more than 8.3% in the premium segment during Q1, 2022 against the previous quarter (Q4, 2021), as per IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly PC Devices Tracker, 1Q22, May 2022 release.

Additionally, Samsung provides new age financing option in the form of Samsung Finance+ which also empowers customers with no past loan or credit history to own Galaxy Tablets at affordable price. Further, Samsung Upgrade enables customers to exchange their old smartphones or tablets to purchase new Galaxy Tablet, reducing the overall cost of ownership. These smart enablers have helped the company become the number 1 Tablet player for the quarter.

The powerful Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra comes with most vivid screen ever, sAMOLED 14.6”display with 120Hz refresh rate. Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the first of the Galaxy Tab series to be equipped with 12MP main camera in the front and ultra-wide lens for an even wider screen. The efficient audiovisual experience will ensure that video calls or online meetings are smooth. With the device’s three precision microphones, you can also minimize distractions, reducing background noise for even sharper, clearer audio.

Samsung DeX offers PC-like experience, so you can open multiple app windows at once, just like you would on a PC.
