As an immigration crackdown continues across the country, some Illinois businesses closed Monday to protest. Immigrants and members of their communities were encouraged to stay home from work and school to protest President Donald Trump’s promise of the largest deportation operation in U.S. history.

Last week, President Donald Trump signed an executive order vowing to take aggressive action to fight antisemitism on college campuses.
