Centre for Arts and Technology in Kelowna Announces Full and Partial Talent-based Scholarships for Canadian High School Students

KELOWNA, British Columbia–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Centre for Arts and Technology (CAT) is an accredited arts and technology college located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley and is proud to announce a new scholarship opportunity for creative high school students.

The Create Your Future Awards were created with the goal of connecting passionate, and creative high school students with a career-oriented education in arts and technology. Four scholarships are available through this initiative: one overall winner will receive a complete scholarship to a full-time diploma program, and three additional $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to the runners-up.

These scholarships can be applied to the following CAT full-time diploma programs: 2D Animation & Digital Art, 3D Animation, Advanced Interior Design & Technology, Audio Engineering & Production, Professional Photography, Professional Filmmaking, and Graphic & Web Design.

Grade twelve students from across Canada (excluding Quebec) are eligible to apply before the submission deadline of Wednesday, June 28th, 2023. Winners will be chosen by a panel and announced on Friday, July 28th, 2023. Applicants will be required to submit a video statement along with a portfolio demonstrating their passion and creativity. Local high school teachers and counselors are applauding this award, noting that there is an ongoing need for more scholarships geared towards creative students. Heather Crown, Teacher of Humanities and Technical Theatre at Kelowna-based Studio9 School of the Arts had this to share: “What an amazing scholarship!
