CBI files three chargesheets against private persons and private companies in separate cases

The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed three chargesheets against private persons and private companies in separate cases.

In the first case, a chargesheet was filed against 05 accused including private companies & private persons in the court of ACJM, Arambagh, Hooghly(West Bengal) on the allegations that the accused had entered into criminal conspiracy with an ulterior motive of siphoning of Rs.35.37 crore(approx) which was illegally collected from investors by promising high return, and later closed its operations, without repaying the promised amounts to the investors. It was further alleged that the accused cheated the investors and also misappropriated their money.

In the second case, chargesheet was filed against 04 accused including private company & private persons in the court of ACJM, Alipurduar(West Bengal) on the allegations that the accused had entered into criminal conspiracy and siphoned off Rs.3,27,77,300/-(approx) which was collected illegally from investors by promising high return, and later closed its operations, without repaying the promised amounts to the investors. It was also alleged that the accused cheated the investors and misappropriated their money.

In the third case, chargesheet was filed against 03 accused including private person & private companies before the Competent Court, Alipurduar on the allegations that the accused had entered into criminal conspiracy and siphoned off Rs.19 lakh(approx) which was collected illegally from investors by promising high return and later closed its operations, without repaying the promised amounts to the investors. The accused cheated the investors and misappropriated their money.

The public is reminded that the above findings are based on the investigation done by CBI and evidence collected by it. Under the Indian Law, the accused are presumed to be innocent till their guilt is finally established after a fair trial.
