CBI arrests two then managing directors of private companies in an on-going investigation of two separate cases

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested two then Managing Directors of private companies in an on-going investigation of two separate cases.

The first case was registered against a private company (ponzi company) and others. It was alleged that the Managing Director of said company in pursuance to a conspiracy with others had illegally collected Rs. 697.72 crore (approx.) from the investors under various fraudulent schemes on assurance of paying high returns on such investments on maturity. The accused fled away and cheated the said investors & misappropriated the invested money.

The second case was registered against the private company (ponzi company) and others. It was alleged that the Managing Director in pursuance to a conspiracy with other Directors of said private company had illegally collected Rs. 139 crore (approx.) from the investors under various fraudulent schemes on assurance of paying high returns on such investments on maturity. The accused fled away and cheated the said investors & misappropriated the invested money.

Both the arrested accused are being produced today before the Competent Court.
