BUDDHIST DEVELOPMENT PLAN UNDER PMJVK IN LADAKH AND OTHER HIMALAYAN STATES
Depending on the size of the project units approved under Buddhist Development Plan (BDP), Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) in Ladakh and other Himalayan States the timelines for completion of respective units ranges from 12 months to 36 months after the release of 1 st instalment of the projects. The projects under BDP component of PMJVK are executed by respective States/UTs/CGOs and the funds are released to them only. No direct funding is done to any private individual or firms. The already available Central Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) can be utilized for grievance redressal for beneficiaries under the BDP. The project units approved under Buddhist Development Plan (BDP) is at Annexure I. As per the provisions laid under the PMJVK guidelines, the execution of the approved project units under PMJVK is done by funding from the Govt. of India/State Govt./UTs Administration. The Scheme also includes Skill Development Training Programme aims to create sustainable livelihood support for Buddhist artisan and craftsmen via "Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan" (PM VIKAS) of the Ministry. Further, the scheme also provides financial support to artisan and craftsmen through various schemes of the NMDFC.
